Zehra Güngördü completed her undergraduate education in 2013, graduating from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Yıldız Technical University. In 2016, she completed her master's degree at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Architecture, Mersin University, with a thesis titled ‘Functional Assessment of Urban Identity Change: The Case of Antakya Uzun Çarşı (Traditional Bazaar)’. In 2021, he completed his doctorate at Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, with a thesis titled ‘Inclusive City Model in the Analysis of Urban Life Experiences and Adaptation Processes of Populations Arriving through Forced Internal and External Migration: The Case of Hatay’. She has been working at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Architecture, Hatay Mustafa Kemal University since 2014. Her areas of expertise include urban identity, sustainable urban and rural development, social innovation in urban planning, participation in urban planning, legal and administrative dimensions of urban planning, urban planning and forced migration, and urban planning and disasters. Zehra Güngördü also plays an active role in civil society work. Since 2018, she has been the Deputy Provincial Representative of the Chamber of City Planners in Hatay, and since 2019, she has been the Provincial Representative of the TEMA Foundation in Hatay. She is currently conducting earthquake-focused multi-crisis era studies in Hatay.
